之前在九月時有寫過ockham的相關文章MyLibrary@OCKHAM.. ，今天看D-Lib時，就看到了相關文章…心中不禁對推介要我看ockham的老師更敬了三分…為什麼都追不上他……

這篇文章描述了二個利用"輕量級"的實驗模組與開放軟體來提供館藏與服務的數位圖書館。這些實驗模組和工具包括了OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative-Protocol for Metadata Harvesting), SRU (Search/Retrieve via URL), Perl, MyLibrary, Swish-e, Plucene, ASPELL, and WordNet這些。(梁按：包括了程式和一些公開無版權爭議的軟體)
更精確些說，我們敘述這些工具如何在Ockham Alerting和MyLibrary@Ockham裡被使用。
這些所提供的服務正成了圖書館如何來主動以系統化、程式化地收集、組識、建檔並傳播，以提供學術的交流，並能自由的在網路上取得這些資訊。
使用這些在本文裡同樣的技術，其它圖書館也可以用在他們特有的內容以達到他們特有的需要或是特定的讀者。
Exploiting "Light-weight" Protocols and Open Source Tools to Implement Digital Library Collections and Services Abstract
This article describes the design and implementation of two digital library collections and services using a number of "light-weight" protocols and open source tools.
These protocols and tools include OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative-Protocol for Metadata Harvesting), SRU (Search/Retrieve via URL), Perl, MyLibrary, Swish-e, Plucene, ASPELL, and WordNet.
More specifically, we describe how these protocols and tools are employed in the Ockham Alerting service and MyLibrary@Ockham.
The services are illustrative examples of how the library community can actively contribute to the scholarly communications process by systematically and programmatically collecting, organizing, archiving, and disseminating information freely available on the Internet.
Using the same techniques described here, other libraries could expose their own particular content for their specific needs and audiences.
